Opening Outlook in safe mode - did not work (remained on loading Outlook profile).
Closing Outlook and reopening Outlook - did not work (remained on loading Outlook profile).
Went into control panel -> Mail and switched the option for When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile from: Always use this profile to Prompt for a profile to be used - did not work (remained on loading Outlook profile).
Open Task Manager and end task on all Microsoft applications and then reopen Outlook - did not work (remained on loading Outlook profile).
